WCTSMA State Officers led their first leadership event at Summer Leadership August 2, 2017 at Kayak Point Park in Stanwood, WA. Sunny skies welcomed the small but enthusiastic group at the beach. Leadership activities and games filled the day's schedule. WCTSMA Advisory Board members provided BBQ skills for the hungry campers. What a great event to start the 2017-18 year.

Grant Kolde placed 4th for Wenatchee.
Auburn Mountainview placed 2nd and Mt. Vernon 3rd in the Jaybird Division (medium school division). Kent-Meridian, Auburn, Olympic, and North Kitsap also placed in the Jaybird Division top 10. We had a great time at Warm Beach this week working with the new Student Board for next year. Plans are well under way for Summer Leadership, Winter Leadership, and plans for the Spring Symposium and Competition are moving forward as well. These students spent three days in leadership training classes as well as board meetings to learn how to work together to best serve the WCTSMA. Stay turned for more information about these great events planned for this year.
